The start of the application of flexible fees for public positions in Dubai

Yesterday, the Burken Company started the application of the flexible drawings for distinctive situations, and ordinary fees for peak hours and abroad in Dubai, as part of its efforts to develop solutions to avoid crowding and facilitate the experience of vehicle corner.

The Burken Company explained that the areas of ordinary positions in the Emirate of Dubai are the first and the second and the Qusays, Al -Mamzar, Abu Wahil, Al -Rashidiya, Wind Al -Hamr, Al -Roz 1, 3 and 4. As for the distinctive areas that will witness the application of flexible tariffs, they are: Business Gulf (Business Bay), Downtown, Nayef, Al -Fahidi, Al -Wasl and Sheikh Zayed Street (the main road from the Dubai World Trade Center to Umm Al -Shifa), Jumira (the main road) and Al -Barashi 1.

She explained that the distinctive positions are public attitudes determined by the Roads and Transport Authority, and are located in vital areas with high population density or in commercial areas, in addition to sites near public transport stations, to provide comfortable and easy options for drivers.

The company confirmed the allocation of the positions of the distinctive vehicles strategically, to provide an easy access to drivers to the areas with high demand, especially those that witness a dense traffic movement or contain main shopping centers.

These areas will be clearly distinguished through custom guiding panels, and the tariff details offered on the parking lots.

As for the peak hours, they are the periods that witness the highest traffic density on the roads, and are determined by the Roads and Transport Authority, to ensure the smooth flow of movement and the management of congestion better.

The company explained that the flexible tariff fees for vehicle parking in peak hours have become six dirhams per hour, for distinctive situations, and four dirhams per hour for other paid public situations.

The tariff will remain unchanged outside the peak hours, which provides the options of affordable costs. The positions remain free from ten in the evening until eight in the morning daily and throughout Sundays.

The company stated that the activities of the events are the periods that coincide with the organization of major events in the emirate, whether they are entertaining, marketing or educational, and include conferences, festivals, exhibitions, concerts, and others.

These hours aim to meet the increasing demand for the parking lots resulting from exceptional traffic during these activities, and are determined by the authority.

This system will be applied during events such as “GITEX”, where the activities of the events will be applied in the surrounding areas, to manage the temporary increase in the demand for vehicle parking. The areas of the events will be activated with flexible fees to meet the large number of vehicles. The company indicated that these areas are clearly distinguished during the event, while displaying the information updated on indicative panels, as it will be available through the Burken website, smart application, and social media channels.
