Deaths and injuries as a result of the collapse of a 4 -storey building in Assiut

Eight Egyptians were killed and a person was injured today, Wednesday, in the collapse of a house in Assiut Governorate (380 km south of Cairo).

The Assiut Security Directorate received a notification of the accident of the collapse of a four -storey real estate in the east of Assiut.

The Civil Protection and Rescue Forces managed to recover eight bodies, including women and three children, who were transferred to the morgue, and the forces continue to search for others under the rubble.

According to the Egyptian newspaper, Al -Watan, Assiut Governorate announced the provision of an alternative housing to transfer emergency cases due to the collapse of the property, and to form specialized committees to discuss the causes of the collapse, to determine the presence of a criminal suspicion or not, with the immediate decision -making against the cause, and his transfer to the investigation authorities.
