المملكة: The decrease in the rate of Saudi women’s unemploy

The Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for the work d. Abdullah bin Nasser Abu Dhinin at the National Observatory for Women’s Observatory entitled “Saudi Women in Development is ambitious steps for a promising future”, organized by Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University, in the presence of a number of His Highnesses, Excellencies, Leaders and Decision Makers, and under the auspices of the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed bin Suleiman Al -Rajhi.
In a speech during the opening session, he reviewed the qualitative achievements in terms of empowering Saudi women, stressing that this progress comes at the heart of the target of Vision 2030.

And dealt with the positive transformations that the labor market has witnessed in recent years, the most prominent of which is the historical decrease in the rate of Saudi Arabia unemployment to 11.9%, and the noticeable increase in the rate of economic participation of women to reach 36%, compared to only 19% in 2017, in addition to the remarkable progress in the rates of women’s assumption of leadership positions, as it reached 43.8% in medium and higher administrative positions.

Empowering Saudi women

He pointed to a number of initiatives that had a direct impact in supporting these results, the most prominent of which is the leadership training program in partnership with the University of ISAD, which enabled 1700 Saudi leaders from various sectors, and the parallel training program that provided training and employment opportunities for more than 122 thousand Saudis at the job.

He touched on the positive impact of the “arrival” and “arrival” programs in supporting the stability of working women by facilitating access to work and providing child care services.

Labor market

He also participated in a dialogue session within the conference that dealt with the Kingdom’s efforts to support and empower women in the integration between the public and private sectors, during which he stressed the importance of joint work to align education and training outcomes with the requirements of the labor market.
In this context, he reviewed a number of initiatives implemented by the Ministry in partnership with multiple bodies, including sectoral councils for skills, “skills speeding” initiative, and the national training campaign “Waad”, in addition to efforts to develop skills in modern work patterns such as flexible work and remote work, and the products provided by the Human Resources Development Fund “a goal” to guide, train and empower students and those looking for work, as he participated in opening The exhibition accompanying the conference.
