The University of Sharjah is ranked 38th in the 2025 Sustainability Ranking

Sharjah, December 14 / WAM / The University of Sharjah ranked 38th globally out of 1,745 universities participating in the UI GreenMetric Global Sustainability Classification for the year 2025, while maintaining its leadership locally for the ninth year in a row, and occupying first place at the level of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and first place in the Arab world.
The “UI GreenMetric” classification is concerned with evaluating the universities that are most committed to the standards of sustainable development, a clean environment, and rational management of resources.
His Excellency Dr. Essam Al-Din Ajami, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, praising His Highness’s continued support and sound vision that contributed to strengthening the university’s global standing and consolidating its leadership in the fields of sustainability.
