The Jordanian army announces the fall of the “anonymous” march after entering the Kingdom’s airspace
The Jordanian army announced, on Friday, that a march plane stated that it was “anonymous” that entered the Jordanian airspace and fell over the Ma’in area in Madaba Governorate, according to a statement published by the Jordanian army through its website, and reported by the Jordan News Agency “Petra” in a statement.
A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, said in an official statement, that “an unknown march plane entered the Jordanian airspace and fell over the Ma’in area in Madaba Governorate (approximately 58 km south of the capital, Amman).”
The source added that “the fall of the fragments led to a fire in the forest area in which the plane fell and did not cause any harm to lives,” noting that “the specialized teams of the Jordanian armed forces and the civil defense teams extinguished the fire and began examining the site of the accident,” according to the statement.
The official statement came after activists circulated on social media clips of what they said were the fire site without being confirmed by official sources.
The official Kingdom channel quoted an official source that the Royal Engineering Corps examined the site and the burning fire in the Al -Narji area was controlled.
The statement added: “The armed forces call on the citizens not to approach the site, and to report any suspicious object so that the field teams can deal with it in order to preserve their safety and the safety of their families, stressing the need to draw information from its official sources.”
