Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi, Vice -President of the National Olympic Committee, said that there are several factors that led him to resign from the presidency of the Football Association in the previous period, the most important of which was that the federation was tweeting alone, as he was with the national teams in a valley while the Professional and Clubs Association in another valley, as he put it.
He added in statements to “Arab Cast”: “The professional association officials their thinking was in the success of the league and the local championships and on the other side, the Football Association has the national teams, so he also wants to achieve the results of the country’s facilitation, as these teams have benefits, and we had support support and all that we were asking from the officials we got, but where are the rest or where the tools that we need in order to achieve the results are not with us that they have their agenda alone.”
On his experience in the presidency of the Football Association, and is the position of the president of the Football Association the most difficult job, Rashid bin Hamid said: “If there is a consensus between the parties, it is possible that the biggest successes are achieved, but there are several factors that caused the team’s failures, the most important of which is the club’s unwillingness to qualify the players to provide the best level in the team, then the player plays in the club for seven months and in the team a month and a half or two months per year, so who is responsible for the technical level of the team or the club?”
He continued: «When the club tells the player that there is no need to play with the national team, as this could expose him to the injury and that he may not benefit the club in the league or in local championships, this is a wrong thought.
Rashid bin Hamid continued: “Our clubs pay these players higher than their value or from the amount they deserve, because the player, which is worth one million dirhams, pays two million dirhams, and we have experienced the taking of some young players, and we tried to search for decades in Europe.”
He explained: «Club departments do not evaluate the player properly, they have many players and some of them do not play, but they want to have this number of players.
Sheikh Rashid bin Hamid continued: “The player is on the bench does not benefit.
He explained: «In the event that our players moved to play abroad, they are gaining more experience and very high technicians, in addition to the experience of professionalism in its correct sense, because every match he attends on the field between 15, 20 and 30 thousand fans, but there is no club that agrees to leave its player who professes outside the country.
On the possibility of the team’s arrival in the 2026 World Cup during the current qualifiers, Rashid bin Hamid said: “The team will reach the World Cup during the current qualifiers because the criteria differed and there were eight seats instead of four from the Asian continent, and if the continent of Asia had the same number in the last World Cup (Qatar 2022), then the team would then arrive directly to the World Cup because the team was the third in its group.”
Rashid bin Hamid added: “Even if the team ascends to the World Cup, I do not think it will achieve a lot in the World Cup, but where is the team in the regional championships and the Gulf Cup and in the Asian Cup? Our ambition is greater than reaching the World Cup. We want regional results. ”

Asked about the fate of the strategy that the Football Association placed during its presidency to work with it until the year 2036, will it be affected, and whether the work ended with it as he left the position, he said: “The strategy exists, but it is not active in the way we wanted and will not be affected, and the truth is that the brothers in the Football Association are working well and they have their plans and their method of management in a different way and the results are positive.”
