The UAE and the Netherlands hold the fourth round of political consultations

ABU DHABI, April 12 / WAM / The fourth round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in The Hague was held on April 9, 2025, headed by His Excellency Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, and Marcel de Fink, Director General of Political Affairs at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The consultations dealt with ways to consolidate the deep bilateral relations between the two countries, as the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in a number of sectors, with a focus on economic cooperation, advanced technology, digital transformation, water, renewable energy, and food security.
The two sides pointed to the noticeable growth in the volume of non -oil trade exchange, which witnessed an increase of 20% during the year 2023, in addition to the increase in foreign direct investment flows between the two countries, which amounted to approximately $ 1.07 billion during the recent period.

The two sides conducted an in -depth exchange of views on regional and international developments, including the situation in the Middle East and Europe.

The consultations highlighted the importance of continuing dialogue between the two friendly countries to confront regional challenges and enhance international stability.

The two sides affirmed their commitment to continuing to hold political consultations regularly, in a way that contributes to achieving common goals in the interest of the peoples of the two countries.
