The Emirati Moroccan Business Council opens new economic horizons

Sharjah, April 13 / WAM / The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the first meeting of the Emirates Joint Moroccan Business Council, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al -Owais, Vice President of the UAE Chamber of Chamber and Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Directors, His Excellency Ahmed Al -Tazi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, and His Excellency Shakib Al -Alaj, President of the General Federation of Moroccan Contracting, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Economics of the State and members of the Council from both sides.
The council, which is jointly chaired by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, and Anas Knon, President of “West Capital”, Vice -President of the International Committee of the General Federation of Moroccan Contracting, aims to enhance economic and investment relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Morocco, and provide promising opportunities for companies and institutions in both countries.
Abdullah Al -Owais stressed that the first session of the Emirati Moroccan Business Council in the Emirate of Sharjah is a new addition in the edifice of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries that witness an accelerated development in all fields, indicating that the council will benefit from the various expertise and investment benefits enjoyed by the UAE.
He also stressed that the meetings of the Emirati Moroccan Business Council will establish a new start for a joint future work for the business community, especially since the Council includes a group of major business owners, investors and representatives of major commercial and economic companies in the two brotherly countries.
For his part, Chakib Al -Alaj highlighted the great potential for cooperation in strategic sectors such as tourism, infrastructure, food industries, renewable energy, finance and advanced technology, expressing his pride in the increasing number of Moroccan companies that chose the UAE as a center for its business in addition to the important Emirati investments in Morocco, which reflects the dynamic and vitality of economic relations between the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the council’s future mechanism and map, and affirmed the importance of continuing cooperation between the UAE and Moroccan private sector and achieving more steps and initiatives to support relations between all institutions and companies in the two brotherly countries.
