المملكة: To fill the gap between local and international terms … the launch of the electric cars dictionary

The King Salman International Complex for Arabic Language launched a dictionary (the manufacture and maintenance of electric cars), in cooperation with the National Academy of Cars and Vehicles (Nava) and the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al -Khar, during the participation of the complex in (Human Capacity Initiative Conference 2025).
The Secretary -General of the complex, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al -Washmi, explained that this dictionary contributes to bridging the gap between the local and international terms in this vital sector, and enhances the accuracy of translation and communication between the educational and industrial authorities, noting that the project represents a model for constructive cooperation between the complex and the national bodies specialized in the fields of technology and industry.
(Nava) took over the preparation and development of the dictionary scientifically and linguistically, while the complex reviewed the linguistic material and in turn in raising it on the platform (Swar), as part of its efforts in making specialized dictionaries that support the use of the Arabic language in the vital sectors.

Saudi innovation

The dictionary aims to provide accurate and codified terms concerned with the manufacture and maintenance of electric cars; It contributes to facilitating communication between academic and industrial institutions, and supports Arab content in the technical field.
This dictionary comes within the work of the complex in the course of linguistic computing, and its goals in promoting the role of the Arabic language in the modern technical and industrial sectors; By producing specialized content that keeps pace with global transformations and supports the areas of innovation.
The dictionary includes (1000) terms related to batteries, electric motors, smart shipping, maintenance technologies, and other concepts associated with the modern car industry, with accurate and simplified definitions that allow them to be used by both specialists and non -specialists, and is planned to modernize it periodically in line with the rapid technical developments in this field.

The lexicon is a new addition to the chain of specialized dictionaries that the complex is developing according to an advanced vision to link the language to the vital fields, and make it available in the platform (Swar) for linguistic dictionaries, which enables researchers and users to access the specialized lexical content, and supports the authors of dictionaries in construction, modernization and publishing operations, by relying on artificial intelligence techniques, as it provides (Swar) today More than (30) dictionary covers multiple fields, and includes more than (280) thousand reliable lexical entrances, developed in partnership with different parties, which reflects knowledge accumulation and artistic experience in the manufacture of dictionaries.
This project confirms the commitment of the complex to enable the Arabic language to perform its vital roles in the future of industry and innovation, and to provide specialized knowledge tools that contribute to developing technical content in the Arabic language, and linking it to the needs of the vital sectors in the Kingdom and the world.
