Initial data for the numbers and rates of licenses that were issued during the year 2024 AD in the Ministry of Tourism recorded a growth of 333% compared to the year 2023 AD in the number of licenses in private tourism hospitality facilities, with a number of 8,357 licenses compared to 1.929 licenses in 2023 AD.
According to the tourism system, the definition of the private tourism hospitality facility includes each furniture furnished, independent, owned by an individual and licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, and provides a daily overnight service for the tourist for a fee.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism, Mohamed Al -Rasima, pointed out that the growing growth in the number of licenses issued for private tourism hospitality facilities comes as an affirmation of the ministry’s keenness to enable individual investors in the hospitality sector to obtain the ministry’s license necessary for employment.
