“Emirates Air Shipping” adds hydrogen trucks to its fleet

The Emirates Air Shipping announced today the addition of hydrogen trucks to its fleet, in cooperation with Al -Tadamun Transport Company, to join it during the first quarter of 2026.
The Emirates Air Cargo Truck Fleet is currently consisting of more than 60 trucks, and it is a link between the Al Maktoum International and Dubai International airports, and other local areas.
The carrier will operate five hydrogen trucks, in a step in the process of gradual transformation towards the use of alternative fuel trucks, and this addition is expected to contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions and improving air quality.
New trucks are the same as the absorptive capacity of their diesel counterparts currently, and each truck can transport up to 28 tons of charges with operational efficiency.
The trucks will be provided with fuel at two stations for hydrogen in Dubai, the first in Expo, and the second in Duaa station in Al -Qudra area, and each full mobilization provides up to 700 km.
Badr Abbas, Vice President of Emirates Airlines for the shipping department said that the operation of hydrogen trucks within our fleet is a qualitative step in the framework of our strategy to reduce emissions resulting from ground operations, and we will continue to explore new ways to integrate alternative fuel and modern technologies, and expand our efforts to reduce our environmental silence, without prejudice to the high service standards that our customers expect.
Ali Bin Bayat, CEO of Al -Tadamun Transport Company, said that through our intensive research, we believe in the possibility of achieving a significant decrease in emissions using hydrogen trucks, without relying on traditional energy sources, and in partnership with the UAE for air freight, we are released these trucks throughout the UAE, especially in Dubai, to support a more clean and sustainable logistical future.
