Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Complex reveals "Car"

Sharjah, April 17 / WAM / The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Complex revealed today the innovative “flying car”, which was developed by the Dutch company Pal-V, as part of the complex’s endeavor to establish its position, as a pivotal center for future technologies and an attractive environment for investors and innovators.

Gyroplane, combines the characteristics of the three -wheeled car and helicopter, allowing it to drive on public roads and fly by air and the vehicle is characterized by two engines and foldable roundabouts, allowing it to move easily within regular traffic, as well as its ability to take off and fly when needed.

The announcement of the vehicle came during the first business meeting organized by the complex, as part of the series “SRTIP BUSINASS Breakfast” for the year 2025, in the presence of a group of investors, entrepreneurs and partners from various sectors.

The vehicle’s explanatory show received wide attention, as the engineering team of the “Pal-V” company reviewed technical details about the vehicle and its functions, and it was also emphasized that it obtained the accreditation certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), to be the first vehicle of its kind to complete these regulatory requirements.

The flying car is a project that has been developed since 2008, with the aim of providing an integrated transportation that combines ground driving and aviation, in a way that enhances the concept of mobility “from door to door.”

Talks are currently taking place between the company “Pal-V” and the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Complex, to discuss ways of future cooperation, including the possibility of establishing a strategic partnership, in light of the expectations that the advanced air mobility market will reach about 2.9 trillion US dollars, according to “Morgan Stanley” estimates.

His Excellency Hussein Al -Mahmoudi, Executive Director of the Synod, stressed in his speech during the event that the complex has become an ideal destination for startups and innovators, noting that hosting the “flying car” show embodies the commitment of the complex to support future technologies and convert them into implementable projects.

He said: We are working to build an integrated system that embraces innovation and investment, and the complex represents a leading platform linking entrepreneurs to the markets, and contributes to stimulating innovation at the region level.

For his part, Robert Denganessy, founder and CEO of Pal-V, presented a comprehensive presentation on the stages of the vehicle development, its technical capabilities, and potential cooperation with the complex in the coming period, indicating that the company has so far recorded prior purchase requests exceeding 150 million euros.

The event agenda included introductory shows made by the complex’s partners, in addition to the session of the “Shuraka ‘Majlis”, which provided an interactive platform for exchanging ideas and enhancing cooperation opportunities, in addition to organizing direct bilateral meetings between entrepreneurs and investors, in an environment that stimulates innovation and entrepreneurship.

This meeting comes within the efforts of the complex to unify its initiatives, within one periodic event, by integrating the “Business Meet” and “Council Partners Council”, to enhance the integration between the parties to the innovation system and support the strategic dialogue between the public and private sectors.
