“Al -Khaleejiya” is allocated to a day to celebrate Bahraini women within “Entrepreneurship Week”

The Gulf University continued the activities of the “Entrepreneurship Week” by holding a day dedicated to celebrating Bahraini women under the title “Women in Entrepreneurship: Jewels of Leadership”, last Wednesday, in the presence of a group of entrepreneurs and inspiring female graduates.
The fourth day witnessed the organization of a distinguished lecture by the Supreme Council of Women Dana Al -Zayani, during which she dealt with empowering women in the business sector and the importance of their support in the various stages of their pioneering project.
Al -Zayani said: “Empowering women in the entrepreneurial sector has become a reality that we are proud of, and the successive successes achieved by Bahraini women are the best evidence that investing in women’s competencies is an investment in a prosperous future. I salute the Gulf University for this pivotal role in highlighting the inspiring models.”
Also participated in the event is successful Bahraini business pioneers, among them the graduate of the Gulf University, Alaa Abdullah, Fattan Jewelry Foundation, and the business leader Amal Al -Majid, Amal Al -Majed Jewelry Foundation, where they reviewed their career and tried them in establishing distinguished brands in the jewelry sector.
For its part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gulf University and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Mona Al -Zayani, stressed the importance of supporting Bahraini women in various fields.
She said: “At the Gulf University, we believe that the leadership of women is not an option, but rather a necessity to build a comprehensive and sustainable knowledge economy. This event comes to embody our firm commitment to supporting women’s competencies, and highlighting success stories that contribute to the inspiration of future generations. Our investment in young energies is an investment in an ambitious homeland that boasts the successes of its women.”
On this occasion, the President of the Gulf University, Professor Muhannad Al -Farras, stressed the importance of highlighting the role of Bahraini women in entrepreneurship, saying: “We at the Gulf University are proud to highlight the success stories of Bahraini women in the field of entrepreneurship, and we seek through these events to create a stimulating environment that embraces innovation and creativity, and encourages our students to engage in influential leadership experiences that serve society, and keep pace with the sustainable development goals.”
For her part, the director of the University’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, Fatima Shuwaikh, expressed her pride in the level of inspiring interaction and experiences presented by the participants, and said:
“We are proud of the Entrepreneurship Center by presenting an interactive platform through which the pioneers of Bahraini business are their success stories, to be an incentive for aspirations. These initiatives are cultivated in students confidence that their dreams are achieved with determination and creativity.”
The event concluded with a workshop entitled “Shine with Excellence”, presented by business pioneers to teach the basics of jewelry design, and to enhance the technical and innovative sense of students.
This event comes within the framework of the Gulf University’s keenness to support efforts to empower women, and to encourage the adoption of a culture of entrepreneurship as a major tool to achieve community growth and sustainability.
