Linguistics specialists stressed the importance of learning languages ​​as bridges of communication between civilizations and enhancing economic and professional opportunities.
In their speech to “Today” on the occasion of the International Day of the Chinese language, they explained that the inclusion of the Chinese language within the Saudi curricula reflects an ambitious future vision, which seeks to enable generations to deal with multiple cultures and actively engage in the changing international scene.

Professor of Linguistics at the Department of Arabic Language at the University of Jeddah confirmed Prof. Dr. Amani bint Abdulaziz Al -Dawood, that the relationship between the Arab world and China is an ancient historical relationship, dating back centuries of trade and cultural exchange, noting that the Arabic and Chinese languages ​​are among the six international languages ​​approved in the United Nations, and they have firm civilized roots, and they combine common characteristics, most notably the care of audio and line and poetry arts.
She pointed out that the Chinese language is today one of the basic languages ​​to understand the major transformations in the world, as it is a national, economic, scientific and cultural language at the same time, and with the rapid changes in the international system, the increasing demand for its mastery, especially in the diplomatic, investment and scientific fields.

She emphasized that the International Day of the Chinese language is an occasion to highlight the role of the language as a bearing civilization and intellectual values ​​that have accumulated over thousands of years, pointing out that the decision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to include the Chinese language within the educational curricula reflects a strategic vision aimed at enhancing the Kingdom’s presence in the international scene and expanding bridges of communication with one of its largest strategic partners.

Al -Zahrani pointed out that the inclusion of the Chinese language within the curricula of education in the Kingdom is in line with the targets of Vision 2030, as it enhances the interaction of young people with multiple cultures, and develops their linguistic and mental skills through the unique symbolic compositions that characterize the language, considering that the education of Chinese represents a strategic step towards preparing a global and influential generation.
She indicated that the launch of the Saudi -Chinese cultural year reflects the depth of bilateral relations, and opens the way for more cognitive and civilizational exchange, which confirms the importance of learning the Chinese language as a vital bridge communication and understanding between the two peoples.
