“Civil Aviation” issues the approval of the design of the first hybrid helicopter landing in the world

In an important step for the global aviation industry, the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the UAE issued approval of the design for the first hybrid vertical aircraft in the country at the marine flight station in the port of Zayed in Abu Dhabi, as part of the “Air Force Taxi” project in Abu Dhabi.

The Hybrid vertical landing was developed in strategic cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, the Falcon Aviation Services Company, and the Artcher Aviation Company, which represents a step -by -transformation step towards integrated and sustainable air transport across the emirate.

This Hijini vertical landing is the first in the UAE designed to accommodate both traditional helicopters and aircraft with takeoff and electric vertical landing (EVTOL), such as the “Artcher Midnit” plane, which provides a multi -use model and suitable for the future in the field of urban mobility. It was planned as part of the broader infrastructure network of Archer in the UAE, with the start of commercial operations for aircraft taxi with Abu Dhabi Air.

This first site was chosen because of its location at the marine flight station in the port of Zayed in Abu Dhabi, which is a leading center for the regional cruise industry, as it receives more than 650,000 visitors annually.

It is also a gateway to the most famous and entertainment destinations in the capital, which provides easy access to the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Culture District in Saadiyat. Falcon Airlines runs tourist helicopters from this site, giving visitors a unique opportunity to explore the city from the sky and visit the famous Abu Dhabi landmarks.
