Abu Dhabi, April 28/ WAM/ The Integrated Transport Center (Abu Dhabi Mobility) of the Municipalities and Transportation Department announced the expansion of the experimental operation to serve the self -driving taxi service “Robo Taxi” in cooperation with the company “Autogo”, which specializes in self -navigation solutions of the Kentusog Holding Group and within a strategic partnership with the company “Paido” Apolog Chinese, a world leader in self -driving vehicle.
This step is a prelude to the full operation of the service by 2026, as part of Abu Dhabi’s vision to move to develop smart and effective transport solutions that rise to the quality of life and support the efforts of digital transformation.
This initiative comes from Abu Dhabi’s keenness to move to ensure the compatibility of the service with local transportation strategies, organizational regulations, and infrastructure requirements in the emirate, ensuring the application of modern innovations within an organized and compatible framework with the approved legislation and policies.
The sixth generation of “Robo Taxi” vehicles (RT6) for self -driving transportation services were developed to provide a smart and smooth transportation experience, it is specially designed to meet the needs and residents of modern cities and is characterized by an advanced electrical design and artificial intelligence systems, which ensures an accurate driving and immediate response to the surrounding conditions and contributes to promoting traffic safety and reducing human errors, which makes it safer safe Intelligence and comfort, as well as being a sustainable option that contributes to reducing emissions and alleviating traffic congestion, and supports building future smart cities.
Dr. Abdullah Al -Ghafli, Acting Director General of the Integrated Transport Center, said that expanding the scope of self -driving taxi service (Robo Taxi) in Abu Dhabi is an advanced step towards the future of smart transport in line with the center’s vision to provide innovative transport solutions that enhance the quality of life and contribute to supporting the digital transformation in the emirate, stressing the commitment of the transport center to employ the latest technologies to make movement more intelligent and safe Abu Dhabi is a leading global city in this field.
He added that the partnership with Autogo reflects Abu Dhabi’s commitment to move to keep pace with global developments in the field of self -transport, and support innovations that enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the movement, in a way that contributes to achieving the emirate’s vision of the future.
For his part, Sean Tio, the general manager of the Kentisogi Holding Group, stated that the start of a new operating phase for the service of “Robo Taxi” in Abu Dhabi is the beginning of a widespread transformation in the patterns of mobility within cities and the gathering of self -driving taxi “Robo Taxi” between two main goals represented in promoting traffic safety and achieving a more sustainable transfer.
