The Qatari Ministry of Culture participates in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair
Abu Dhabi, April 30 / WAM / The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Culture, participates in the activities of the 34th session of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair held under the slogan (Knowledge Society .. Society Knowledge) with the participation of publishing houses and exhibitors from 96 countries.
Mr. Jassim Ahmed Al -Buainain, Director of Libraries Department at the Ministry, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, that the Qatari Ministry of Culture presented in this cultural event a set of its various publications, in addition to the publications of the Qatar publishing houses, with the aim of supporting the Qatari publishers and providing them with the opportunity to present their productions in international cultural forums.
He added that the aim of this participation is to present Qatari intellectual production through a new set of ministry’s publications, most notably the book “From the Eyes of Qatar Art” in addition to promoting the electronic library and introducing the continuous development in the publishing industry in Qatar and promoting the Doha International Book Fair, which will be held during the period from 8 to 17 June.
The State of Hamad Bin Khalifa University House participates in the presentation of a number of different titles in the novel, literary books, stories, scientific research, and others.
The exhibition is a leading platform that brings publishers, writers and creators from all over the world with the aim of enhancing Abu Dhabi’s position as a world cultural center, and it offers a variety of cultural and professional events, including workshops, seminars, and discussion sessions led by experts in the publishing industry.
More than 1,000 exhibitors from all over the world participate in the exhibition, providing visitors with an opportunity to discover a wide range of books and modern publications.
