المملكة: The Hajj Committee in Makkah discusses plans and preparations to receive the guests of Rahman

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Al -Mukarramah Region, chaired the meeting of the Standing Committee for Hajj and Umrah, under the direction of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of the region, and Chairman of the Hajj and Umrah Committee.
The meeting included a review of the plans and preparations of the authorities for Hajj 1446 AH, and the percentage of completion in the projects being implemented to facilitate the guests of Rahman, which will be operated during the pilgrimage this year.

Preparing for Hajj

During the meeting, the Saudi Water Authority reviewed the operational projects and experiments that have been carried out to date for water and sanitation service in the holy sites of the Hajj season 1446 AH, as it included the implementation of 10 projects, with the aim of rehabilitating and raising the efficiency and capacity of operational tanks.
The strengthening of water supply networks in the Holy Places, and the addition of about 3,500 new toilets in Mina’s hair, and the authority’s preparations for the Hajj season 1446 AH included the implementation of 3 operating experiments targeting water, sanitation, fire extinguishing systems, and refrigeration.

The committee reviewed the progress of work in the Holy Capital Secretariat projects related to the new waste compressors and clothing that will be added in the holy sites, and the projects of the branch of the Ministry of Transport and logistical services in the region regarding the initiative to expand the project to implement the rubber road pavement and the insulating paint of pedestrian roads in the sacred feelings, which contributes to the comfort of the pilgrims to move on foot, and reduce the temperature on these tracks, then discuss the other subjects. On the agenda, the necessary recommendations were taken.
