Dubai accounts for 46.2% of the total commercial licenses in the country

The National Economic Registry, affiliated with the Ministry of Economy, revealed that the total number of new commercial licenses registered in the UAE, from the beginning of this year until yesterday, reached about 42 thousand and 751 new licenses, bringing the number of commercial licenses registered in the country, at the end of last April, to 992 thousand and 751 licenses, approaching one million licenses for the first time, in an indication of the growing economic and commercial activity in the country, and the steady growth in the attractiveness of the Emirates As a major regional and global destination for investment and business performance.
The numbers of the national economic registry, which were issued yesterday, indicated that Dubai topped, in terms of the number of licenses with its acquisition of more than 458 thousand licenses of the total commercial licenses registered in the country, with a rate of 46.2%, as the one -person companies registered in the emirate came first with a total of 131 thousand and 536 licenses, followed by individual companies with a total of 97 thousand and 815 companies, then civil companies third with a total 72 thousand and 804 companies, and then the branches of companies registered in other emirates with a total of 3826 companies, followed by the rest of the companies.
Abu Dhabi came second with 161.7 thousand licenses, with approximately 16.3% of the total licenses registered in the country, followed by Sharjah with 71.4 thousand commercial licenses, accounting for 7.2% of the total licenses.
According to the national economic registry, 33 thousand and 448 licenses were registered in the Emirate of Ajman, 13 thousand and 262 licenses in Fujairah, which remain in Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
The authorities of the issuance of licenses in the various emirates of the state varied between local economic departments, municipalities, investment areas and free zones, along with specialized cities and development authorities.
The forms of licenses issued between limited liability companies, private joint stock companies, free zones, individual institutions, one -person companies, local and foreign companies, and the branches of local and foreign companies and professional companies.
It is noteworthy that the UAE provides an attractive environment for investment by providing many investment incentives for entrepreneurs, on top of which is 100% ownership in the free zones and ownership by 100% in many sectors and activities within the country. The UAE has amended and created many legislation to support and facilitate the practice of business, as well as a flexible visa system that allows the renewal of residency every 10 years, with the availability of political, economic and skilled employment.
