A medical team specializing in orthopedics in King Abdullah Medical City – a member of the Makkah Al -Mukarramah Health Gathering – succeeded in performing an accurate operation to eradicate an advanced tumor of 25 cm from a Saudi patient in his forties, who ended the suffering that lasted for months.

Receiving the patient and the speed of the diagnosis

The Makkah Health Gathering explained that the patient reviewed the city after noticing a growing swelling in the knee, which had begun in a simple way and it was made that it was a temporary offer, but that during two months its size doubled, accompanied by bloody and purulent secretions, which necessitated urgent medical intervention. Examination and analyzes revealed that the tumor is not benign.

Micro -surgery was successful

The surgical operation was performed under the leadership of the orthopedic consultant, Dr. Wael Mujib, and with the participation of an integrated team of specialists in anesthesia and nursing, and it lasted for three hours that were crowned with full success in removing the tumor.

The assembly indicated that the patient was subsequently underwent care of the plastic surgery department to complete the closure of the wound with advanced medical means, amid a precise follow -up to ensure his complete recovery.
