75 players and players participate in the Emirates Squash Open in its first version
Dubai on May 1 /WAM /The first edition of the Emirates Open Squash Championship, which is organized by the Emirates Squash Federation during the period from May 2 to 4, will start on the stadiums of Dubai Municipality Club, with the participation of 75 players and players from different age groups.
Today, the Federation announced the signing of a sponsorship agreement with the Dubai Municipality, to be a strategic sponsor of the tournament in the context of preparations to organize an exceptional version of the event.
Mohamed Mubarak Al -Mutaway’i, President of the Federation, stressed that the tournament is witnessing a wide participation of players and players from various Sunni groups and explained that they include cubs and juniors of boys and girls under 11, 13, 15, and 17 years, in addition to the youth under 19 years, in addition to men and women’s competitions.
He pointed out that the championship winners will get the highest ranking points in the season and double points will be awarded, at 3000 points for the first -placed, 2100 points for the second, 1660 points for the third, and 1,200 points for fourth place.
