The assistant Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) visited Lydia Arthur, headquarters of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority “Saya”, and the International Center for Research and Ethics of ICIRIII Intelligence in Riyadh, during which I reviewed the efforts of “gifts” in the field of data, artificial intelligence and support provided by the Kingdom to the UNESCO ICAIRI With his international tasks.

During the visit, it stood on the progress of the work of the “ICAire” center and the international efforts made in the field of raising awareness of the ethics of artificial intelligence, developing and enhancing its responsible uses, in line with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
The center works to achieve a sentence of the United Nations sustainable development goals, as it aims to support research and development in the field of artificial intelligence, enhance awareness of the ethics of artificial intelligence in line with the values ​​and principles of UNESCO recommendation, in addition to building capabilities and supporting international cooperation efforts by coordinating research and development activities in the field of artificial intelligence, enhancing awareness of its ethics, as well as building specialized capabilities in the field and developing them, and providing advice on policies artificial intelligence.
This visit comes within the framework of supporting joint cooperation between “UNESCO” and the Kingdom, and enhancing the role of the International Center for the Research and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence “ICAIRE” as a global axis in formulating the future of responsible artificial intelligence, in a way that establishes the Kingdom’s position and its active role in international efforts to employ modern technologies to serve humanity and achieve sustainable development goals.
