Abu Dhabi, May 2 / WAM / The “Stopping in Abu Dhabi” program recorded 25 thousand reservations during the first four months of 2025, which represents 47% growth in sales compared to the same period in 2024, and the number of visitors increased to 44 thousand between January and April 2025, an increase of 76% compared to 25 thousand visitors recorded during the same period last year.
According to a press release issued today, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Al -Ittihad Aviation celebrated the remarkable success of the stopping flight program in Abu Dhabi during the Arab Travel Market Exhibition 2025, which concluded its work yesterday, as the number of visitors continues to increase at an amazing pace.
The success of the stopping program extends beyond just a first visit to Abu Dhabi, as many guests who visited the emirate during a short stop trip return to spend more holidays in it.
This growth is based on strong performance throughout 2024, as Abu Dhabi received 85,000 international visitors compared to 12,000 in 2023.
Etihad Airways expects to host more than 130,000 guests that stop in 2025, while continuing to attract more visitors to Abu Dhabi at an accelerated pace.
The program attracts visitors from all over the World Air Network, especially the United States of America and Canada, where travelers are increasingly cutting their journey to explore cultural attractions in Abu Dhabi.
The program’s attractiveness was strengthened through the Abu Dhabi Card, which was launched in March, which provides additional advantages for travelers who seek to spend some time in the emirate.
The Abu Dhabi Digital Card provides a range of features for Etihad Airways guests, including a phone slice with 10 GB of data, free use of public buses, and the network of tourist bus lines that cover the main attractions in the capital around the clock.
Card holders also have exclusive discounts of up to 15% in the most prominent cultural sites and landmarks in Abu Dhabi, including Al Watan Palace and Louvre Abu Dhabi, as well as special prices on games tickets for games and entertainment destinations on Yas Island, including the Ferrari Abu Dhabi world, Warner Bradz Abu Dhabi, Si Warld, Yas Island, and Yas Waterworld.
