13 thousand and 500 requests for services "Islamic Dubai" During the first quarter of 2025

Dubai, May 2 / WAM / The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work in Dubai announced the provision of more than 13 thousand and 500 requests for the various services of the department during the first quarter of 2025 as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance its religious and societal role and provide high -level services that meet the needs of individuals and institutions in the emirate.

The Fatwa service for personal use topped the list of the most requested services, as the Ifta Department issued 3259 legal fatwa, which reflects the public’s confidence in the reference of the department and their keenness to obtain accurate answers from accredited sources.

On the side of publishing the message of Islam, the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture recorded the issuance of 2267 certificate of advertising Islam, which reflects the continuous efforts in introducing Islam and its grace.

As for charitable work, requests to approval to establish breakfast tents or distribute meals reached 3241 applications in an indication of the great interaction of society and its institutions with Ramadan initiatives. The Department of Charitable Institutions also provided 541 services to organize charitable activities, which reflects the prosperity of this vital sector.

In the field of guidance and guidance, the department received 258 requests to provide mufti, lecturer or preacher, along with 297 new Islamic activities organized by religious education departments and Islamic institutions.

The number of participants in the cultural and religious courses and competitions reached 344, which reflects the active presence of the community awareness programs implemented by the department.

In the mosque sector, the department received 634 requests to determine the direction of the qiblah and 63 requests to donate in -kind mosques in addition to 22 requests to allocate lands to build new mosques within the plans of supporting religious infrastructure.

As for the services of Islamic institutions, 11 new licenses have been issued and 22 licenses were renewed, in addition to 10 requests to appoint new employees, which reflects steady growth in this sector.

These numbers reflect the department’s commitment to providing integrated services with high efficiency and quality, indicating the Islamic eagerness of Dubai to respond to the needs of customers and develop the digital and field services system in a way that keeps pace with the aspirations of society and contributes to enhancing the experience of customers according to the highest standards of government excellence.

The department continues to expand access to all segments of society to achieve its vision in leadership in religious, charitable and cultural work at the level of the Emirate of Dubai.
