المملكة: Jeddah Islamic Port .. Thwarting the smuggling of 1.5 million tablets of amphetamine
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in Jeddah Islamic Port was able to thwart the attempt to smuggle 1,586,118 tablets of the drug amphetamine “Captagon”, which was found hidden in a mission coming to the Kingdom via the port.
The commission explained that it was received through the Islamic port of Jeddah, which is “insulating panels” and when undergoing customs procedures, and detecting them through security technologies and living means, this amount of grains were found hidden in the cavities of the panels.
Continuing customs censorship
The commission stated that after the completion of the seizure process, coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control was carried out to ensure the arrest of my future seizures inside the Kingdom, where 3 people were arrested.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority confirmed that it is continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports, in order to achieve the security of society and protect it from these pests, in cooperation and continuous coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control.
Reporting violations
The commission called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy, by communicating with it on the number designated for security communications (1910) or via e -mail 1910@zatca.gov.sa) and the international number (009661910) where the authority through these channels receives the reports related to smuggling crimes, and violations of the unified customs system provisions in full confidentiality, while granting a reward Financial for the reporter in the event of the validity of the communication information.
