Participants in “Dihad 2025” praise the UAE in supporting global humanitarian work

Dubai, May 2 / WAM / The Dubai International Exhibition on Relief and Development “Dihad 2025” witnessed wide participation from international and international organizations, during which it stressed the importance of the event as a global platform to enhance human coordination and explore innovative solutions to the current challenges, while praising the pivotal role that the UAE plays in supporting humanitarian efforts worldwide.
Stephen Anderson, director of the World Food Program Office in the UAE and the representative of the program for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries region, stressed that the partnership between the program and the UAE is one of the strongest humanitarian partnerships in the world, praising the support provided by the state in the areas of emergency response, modern technologies, and sustainable humanitarian work.
Anderson said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency that the program has a field presence in more than 90 countries, and it works in areas facing severe hunger crises as a result of poverty, natural disasters, and armed conflicts, explaining that the partnership with the Emirates that extends for more than 20 years has resulted in a strong infrastructure in Dubai, including strategy storage facilities in Jabal Ali used to respond to a rapid response in areas such as Gaza, Yemen, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria And Turkey.

He stressed the importance of partnerships with the private sector in the Emirates, which contributes to creating effective solutions that enhance the dignity of beneficiaries and accelerate the distribution, praising the role of the diplomatic and humanitarian state in supporting global food security.
For its part, Mrs. Sajida Al -Shawa, Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the United Arab Emirates (OCHA) in the UAE, stressed that “Daish” represents a strategic platform to enhance humanitarian coordination at the global level, praising the continuous partnership with the conference organizers for more than 21 years, and the great support provided by the UAE.
Al -Shawa said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency that the OCHA office is proud to be one of the main partners of the conference and a member of his Consultative Scientific Council, explaining that the annual presence reflects the office’s commitment to support this event as the only human platform of its kind in the country, which brings together international participants from around the world.
She referred to the organization of a workshop on February 28 before the start of the conference under the slogan “Human values and international laws”, in which representatives of the Anwar Gargash Diplomacy, Ireland Ambassador, specialists in international law, information management and advantage of misleading information, in addition to discussions on the role of the private sector, technology, and artificial intelligence in humanitarian work.
In turn, Madeline stressed that the international director of communication and fundraising in the service of Jesuit refugees is that their participation in “Dihad 2025” provides important opportunities to expand the scope of partnerships and exchange experiences, noting that the organization is implementing programs in more than 58 countries, focusing on education, vocational training, and enabling societies affected by conflicts, especially refugees and migrants.
She said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency that the presence of the organization in “Dihad” contributes to enhancing communication with organizations working in the humanitarian field, and also helps to transfer experiences and expand cooperation circles, pointing out that the organization’s regional office in Beirut supervises programs in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq.
For his part, Hashem Mahni, a spokesman for the International Committee of the Red Cross, said that the participation of the committee in “Dihad 2025” reflects its keenness to expand cooperation and exchange experiences with international partners, pointing to the importance of the event as a platform that brings together actors in humanitarian work.
The worker said in a statement to “WAM” that the committee is working in more than one region around the world to protect civilians affected by armed conflicts, and it has large -scale operations in all countries of the Middle East in cooperation with the national societies of the Red Crescent and the Red Cross>
He added that cooperation with the Red Crescent in different countries includes capacity building, institutional support, and the development of rapid emergency response mechanisms, enabling local societies to perform their tasks efficiently in the face of crises.
