المملكة: Makkah Al -Mukarramah .. Controls for private markets and slaughterhouses in preparation for the Hajj season

The Deputy Director of the Office of the Ministry of Environment in the Holy Capital, Mohammed bin Saeed Al -Sharawi, chaired a coordination meeting that included representatives from the General Administration of Mujahideen and a promotion center, as well as the investors of the Al -Salakh Al -Ahliah, to discuss observations and negative phenomena that were monitored in the vicinity of the slaughterhouses of the Holy Capital during previous years, in the context of early preparations for the Hajj season 1446 AH.
The meeting witnessed the development of appropriate controls and mechanisms to reduce negative phenomena in the markets and civil defamation, review the current challenges, and discuss the best practices to deal with negative phenomena, in order to enhance environmental protection and maintain public health.

The Hajj season

Participants stressed the importance of joint cooperation between the concerned authorities, to ensure an effective and healthy organization during the Hajj season.
These efforts seek to develop an integrated plan aimed at improving the level of services provided and enhancing control over slaughterhouses and markets.

Health standards

It was also emphasized the importance of raising awareness among citizens and investors in the correct practices, and the need to adhere to the health and environmental standards, in a way that contributes to providing a distinguished and safe pilgrimage experience for pilgrims.
At the end of the meeting, a number of recommendations aimed at achieving the desired goals were agreed and to improve the quality of services in the Holy Capital.
