The 2026 Champions League final coincides with the Eid al-Adha holiday

The eyes of football fans around the world are turning to the Hungarian capital, Budapest, which is preparing to host the most prominent football event, the 2026 Champions League final. The final match is scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, on the ground of the historic Puskas Arena, which can accommodate more than 67,000 spectators.
The date of the match coincides with the Eid al-Adha holiday, which is expected to come on Wednesday, May 27 and continue until Sunday, May 31, which gives the final match momentum in public follow-up.
This season is witnessing exceptional excitement, as the tournament has entered its decisive stages. According to the competition schedule, four of the continent’s giants are currently competing in the semi-finals; The French club, Paris Saint-Germain, faces its German counterpart, Bayern Munich, while the English Arsenal faces the Spanish team, Atletico Madrid, in a fierce struggle to snatch the two tickets to Budapest.
The European Football Association (UEFA) announced a significant change in the kick-off time for this year’s final match, to be at 18:00 Central European Time (8pm UAE time), in order to enhance the fans’ experience and give them a greater opportunity to celebrate.
In addition to the football excitement, UEFA announced that the famous American rock band “The Killers” will perform at the opening ceremony, creating a loud festive atmosphere before the starting whistle is blown to determine the identity of the old continent’s champion and his place on the throne of Europe.
