Dubai, April 20 / WAM / His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, stressed that creativity is the strategic pillar for building strong and flexible societies capable of keeping pace with rapid changes and represents the main catalyst for achieving national goals in consolidating the knowledge economy and advancing comprehensive and sustainable development paths.

His Excellency explained in a statement on the occasion of “World Creativity and Innovation Day” that the UAE is based on a forward-looking vision of our wise leadership that places knowledge and innovation at the heart of national priorities and makes investment in people a fundamental focus of the development process. Through this ambitious approach, the country continues to establish an integrated system that enhances creativity in various sectors and consolidates its leadership position in empowering individuals and institutions and providing them with the knowledge, tools and capabilities necessary to develop innovative solutions that transcend the challenges of the present and contribute to creating a more prosperous and stable future.

Bin Huwaireb added that the Foundation is committed to continuing to support innovators and nurture creative energies everywhere through its specific initiatives and projects that contribute to refining talent and developing skills, most notably the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award,” which this year witnessed a remarkable level of interaction and received more than 1,800 nomination requests through its official website, in addition to the “Knowledge Summit,” which achieved remarkable success over 10 sessions, registering more than 203. Millions of online views and 1.2 million visits, and it included more than 1,000 sessions during which it hosted more than 900 elite experts, specialists, decision-makers, and pioneers of science and innovation from around the world.

He explained that the “Digital Knowledge Center” stands out among the most important active projects in the global knowledge scene, and the number of titles it includes has exceeded two million and three hundred thousand titles, while the total number of specialized digital materials has exceeded the barrier of 35 million items, in a step that reflects the continuous expansion in providing advanced knowledge sources that support readers and researchers in the Arab world and enhance open access to modern digital knowledge, in addition to other programs and initiatives, including the “Dubai International Writing Program” and the “Future Skills Academy,” through which the Foundation is keen to harness efforts towards supporting individuals. And communities locally, regionally and internationally, providing pioneering platforms for exchanging experiences and ideas in various specializations in a way that supports the preparation of qualified competencies capable of making an effective contribution to the production of knowledge, building their societies and enhancing their competitiveness at all levels.”
