Emirati medical team is winning the first place in a competition within a conference "Identify" In Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, May 3/ WAM/ An Emirati medical team won the first place in the scientific competition, organized by the Scientific Committee for the eleventh session of the International Conference on Dermatology and Beauty “Ida”, and hosted by the capital Abu Dhabi, from May 2 to 4.

The winning team included three newly graduated Emirati female doctors from the Dermatology Residence Program at Rashid Hospital in Dubai: Dr. Fatima Al -Qaidi, Dr. Al -Reem Al -Hosani and Dr. Aisha Al -Shawab.

The team outperformed four other teams, representing the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as the teams underwent a set of medical questions and challenges specialized in diagnosing skin conditions, under the supervision of a scientific jury, which includes a group of experts in the field.

The second day of the conference witnessed a series of advanced scientific lectures, which highlighted the latest innovations in dermatology and cosmetics, including the uses of artificial intelligence in cyber plastic surgery and remedies enhanced by the following generation techniques and regeneration of the skin using DNA and renewal, in addition to the latest care trends such as facial treatments extracted from the semen of salmon.

The second day sessions discussed a number of medical issues, including laser therapy for colorful skin, dealing with pigmentation disorders, children’s biological treatments, food allergies, and reviewing new medications for regeneration of neurons in Alzheimer’s disease.

On the sidelines of the conference, a group of specialized workshops were organized to train doctors to use the latest technologies, which included a workshop on the safe use of ultrasound devices in cosmetic injection and another in cooperation with Apple on the employment of modern “iPhone” devices in documentation and precise diagnosis of skin diseases, as well as a training workshop on the uses of threads in plastic surgery.

The UAE Dermatology Association held a meeting during which the developments of the sector and the latest treatment practices discussed, while a conversation session for the Canadian Board of Dermatology was dedicated, which dealt with the latest developments in safe and future treatments for dermatology and beauty.

The conference has the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and the wide participation of dermatology and cosmetic societies from the Gulf and Middle East and the world. The exhibition accompanying the conference includes the participation of about 25 specialized companies that display the latest devices and equipment used in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases and cosmetic therapy.
