The start of the annual closing festival of the authentic Arab camel races next Wednesday
Abu Dhabi, May 4/ WAM/ Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, will start next Wednesday in Al Wathba Square in Abu Dhabi, the annual closing festival of the authentic Arab camel races on the sword of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, “may God protect him”.
The festival, whose competitions continue until May 20, will witness a great participation of camel owners from the state’s sons and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The closing festival in Al Wathba, organized by the Camel Racing Federation, is one of the most important heritage races in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, because the basic building block for all festivals, where its 46th year inaugurated last March with the rituals of the facts of the group’s camel, and its successes come as an extension of the approach of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “May God rest his soul”, and with the follow -up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Vice President of the State and Prime Minister and Head of the Presidency Bureau.
The first edition of the annual closing festival of the category racing began in 1980, and the 46th edition of the festival is witnessing the holding of 280 runs, allocated to its high -ranking elders and the group.
