The Emirates is the guest of the honor of the 20th session of the Arab Media Forum in Kuwait

The activities of the 20th session of the Arab Media Forum in the State of Kuwait will start under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al -Ahmad Al -Sabah, the Kuwaiti Prime Minister during the period from 10 to 12 May, under the slogan “Media Challenges … in light of the development of technology and digital transformation”.

He added that the activities of this year focus on the role of the Arab media in the face of the accelerated digital transformations and the challenges and opportunities they impose and how to employ modern technologies to enhance Arab media presence and expand its global scope while highlighting the role of the media in supporting cultural diversity and preserving the Arab identity.

The forum aims to provide comprehensive visions on the future of the Arab media in light of the digital revolution and encourages the thinking of innovative solutions to face the current challenges, which contributes to strengthening its role at the local and international levels.

The Secretary -General of the Arab Media Forum explained that the forum this year deals with many ideas such as digital transformation in the media and how Arab media institutions adopt techniques of artificial intelligence, virtual reality and various technological developments to improve content production and distribution and face false news and media misinformation, noting that the forum will focus on the importance of developing strategies to fight false news and how the Arab digital media can achieve greater credibility in This context.

The forum will discuss the topics of the media, the public opinion industry, and the impact of modern media on the formation of Arab public opinion, how to use social media to enhance dialogue and community participation. It will also address the concept of Arab media identity and how to preserve the Arab cultural identity in the era of globalization and the challenges it faces to preserve local values ​​and principles.

Thursday indicated that the forum also addresses the topics of the new media economy and the role of digital transformation in reshaping the economic models of the media and ways to develop sustainable business models in a digital media environment in addition to empowering young media professionals in the digital age and ways to provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to keep pace with the digital age and exploit the opportunities it provides.
