The Secretariat of the Holy Capital has announced the implementation of an integrated program for road maintenance and rehabilitation in preparation for Hajj.
The Secretariat implemented an integrated program for the maintenance and rehabilitation of a number of main roads and streets in Makkah and the holy sites in the context of its intensive preparations for the Hajj season this year 1446.
The program included scraping, asphalt, road maintenance, sidewalks, and traffic paints, with a total area of ​​more than fifty thousand square meters.

Raise road efficiency

This comes within the efforts of the secretariat to raise the efficiency of roads and develop them, improve the level of quality of life, address visual distortion and improve the urban scene.
The Secretariat indicated that it carried out an integrated action plan according to a timetable in which coordination was made with the relevant authorities, to implement the main and pivotal road maintenance work and a number of sub -streets.
In addition to carrying out the work of scraping and re -asphalting the surface layer of the asphalt with an area exceeding (30,929) m3, and conducting traffic paints for an area of ​​more than (23,581) m2.

The preventive maintenance work of the asphalt

This is in addition to carrying out the preventive maintenance work of asphalt, with an area of ​​(7500) m 2, in addition to many maintenance work such as repairing landing and drilling in the streets, improving traffic safety, maintenance of warning panels, elastic columns and other works.
The executing works included many important sites, the main axes in Makkah and the holy sites, such as King Faisal Road, Prince Muhammad bin Salman Road, Ajyad Road, King Abdulaziz Road, the Grand Mosque Road, the third ring road, and the King Abdulaziz Road in Mina’s hair.
Added to this is the road to Ali bin Abi Talib within the scope of the Holy Places, the Grand Mosque road from the intersection of the King Abdullah Bridge towards the Holy Places, and the road leading to the massacres, in addition to a number of sporadic sites in Makkah and the holy feelings.

Rehabilitation and development of roads

It is noteworthy that the Secretariat of the Holy Capital continues its efforts in implementing a number of maintenance projects, which include the rehabilitation and development of roads, bridges, tunnels, sidewalks and lighting networks in separate locations.
This is with the aim of providing the best services to the guests of Rahman, creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere for them, and ensuring their movements in easy and easy ways within the holy capital.
This comes in line with the directives of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God protect him – to provide all the capabilities, do the utmost energies, safety and comfort of the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God, and enable them to perform their smoothness easily and easily.
