Abdullah bin Zayed calls for restraint between India and Pakistan and not drifting towards military escalation

Abu Dhabi, May 7 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, called on the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to control and calm, and avoid more escalation that may threaten regional and international peace.

His Highness stressed that hearing to voices calling for dialogue and understanding is very important to avoid military escalation, consolidate stability in the region of South Asia, and spare the region as tension factors, stressing that diplomacy and dialogue are the best way to reach peaceful solutions to all crises, in a way that contributes to achieving the aspirations of peoples in peace, stability and prosperity.

His Highness stressed that the UAE will continue its endeavors to the success of various efforts to reach a peaceful solution to regional and international disputes, and to alleviate the human effects resulting from it.
