Management team "Emergency and crises" Abu Dhabi reviews pre -preparedness plans and promoting readiness

Abu Dhabi, May 7 / WAM / The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Administration team for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi held its first meeting after the re -formation, headed by His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al -Muhairi, Commander -in -Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, the head of the team, and the team reviewed the prevention plans and proactive measures aimed at enhancing the readiness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to respond to various emergencies, crises and disasters.

During the meeting, His Excellency the head of the team valued the guidance of the wise leadership in raising the level of preparation and response to emergencies, crises and disasters, and he thanked and appreciated the former members of the team for their great efforts led by His Excellency Major General Rukn Faris Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, former Abu Dhabi Police Commander.

During the meeting, the most important current and previous situations and events were reviewed, as well as reviewing the most important future challenges and taking all measures of prevention and preparation for emergencies, crises and disasters in the emirate.

His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al -Muhairi, Commander -in -Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, head of the emergency, crisis and disaster management team for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, said: “In line with the directives of the wise leadership in enhancing the readiness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for crisis and disaster cases, we are keen to provide an integrated system to face potential risks, and we confirm our determination to continue to develop various fields of work starting from risk assessment and preparation of plans Realistic exercises and proactive procedures to enhance the level of readiness for all types of risks, as we aim during the coming period to increase coordination and participation between all governmental and private agencies in the emergency and crises system.

His Excellency also stressed the team’s commitment to raise the readiness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to face crises by unifying the efforts of all concerned authorities to ensure the continuity of business and vital services in times of crisis, in a way that contributes to highlighting the pioneering Emirati model in responding to various emergencies and crises. “We are fully aware of the size of the responsibility assigned to us, and I believe that complete coordination and work as a team is the decisive factor in our dealings with emergencies and crises.”

The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Center for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is based on the reinforcement of the emergency management system, the development of coordination paths with various partners in the government and private sectors, to develop effective strategies to respond to emergency and crises, and raise the level of readiness in dealing with various risks with high efficiency and flexibility.
