What did the new Iraq coach Arnold say about the chances of qualifying for the World Cup?

“I ask everyone to believe that we aspire to qualify for the World Cup,” said Australian Graham Arnold.
“I am here to make Iraq proud and achieve victory in the two decisive matches,” added Arnold, who succeeds the Spanish Jesus Casas from his post last month.
“I will attend the league matches myself and use the local coaches working with clubs to exchange experiences with them,” he added.
“I did not ask the Iraqi Football Association to secure a friendly match before confronting South Korea and Jordan,” he said, considering that “it is better to play with two squads 11 players to 11 players and I will judge the technical performance of the players and establish that.”
“I hope the players will come to the Iraqi national team camp with great passion,” said Arnold, who seemed excited:
“I have an integrated team, and I hope that I will have a clear picture of the players as soon as possible,” he added, adding: “Here I deal as a father for the players before I am a coach, and I look forward to meeting the players as soon as possible.”
The Australian expressed his confidence in the players by saying: “Everyone should believe that we aspire to qualify for the World Cup, and this is the goal for which I came to Iraq.”
Iraq is third in the second group, four points behind South Korea, the leading (16) and a point from Jordan, while it advances on the Sultanate of Oman by two points, Palestine with six points and Kuwait with seven points.
The Iraq national team hopes to stay away from entering the continental supplement for the third and fourth each group, and running additional competitions, in light of the presence of eight and a half seats for the continent of Asia.
Arnold, a coach of the Australia team between 2018 and 2024 and accepted with the Central Cost Marines and Sydney FC.
