“Food Safety” closes 5 restaurants and supermarkets in Abu Dhabi

Within the framework of an intense inspection campaign targeting all food facilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and to ensure the highest standards of food and food quality and the protection of consumer health, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority announced that firm measures are taken towards violators, as the campaign resulted in the issuance of an administrative closure of five restaurants in addition to a supermarket for violating law and legislation related to food and its danger to health General.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority issued a decision to close the administrative closure of three restaurants for violating Law No. (2) for the year 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the legislation issued according to it, as well as its danger to public health.

The authority explained that the administrative closure decision included each of the Restaurant and Kafiria of Mashoua Lahore Garden – LLC – a branch that is located in Abu Dhabi – Khalidiya – West 4 holds commercial license No. 4904174 CN -Cafera Future, which is located in Abu Dhabi Island, west of 4, which carries commercial license No. 3998230 and the Ruknam Ruen Restaurant located in the Mossbah Industrial area – 37, which holds Commercial License No. (1066090cn-), Back Rae Restaurant- Branch 1, which is located in Mossbah Industrial District- 37, and holds commercial license No. (CN-1895014-1) and Salt Disi Derbar Restaurant, which is located in Mossbah Industrial District- 40, which holds commercial license No. (CN-4978963), in addition to the Rich & Frish supermarket YM “in Mohammed bin Zayed City, east 9 in Abu Dhabi, which bears commercial license No. (CN-1750783).

The commission also reported that the food control report stated that the decision to close the right of the three facilities mentioned above came as a result of its violation of the requirements of food safety due to the repetition of high -risk items that have a direct impact on food safety and the health of consumers and the facility and the facility and not responding to correct these violations.

The authority emphasized that the administrative closure order will continue as long as its causes exist, as it is possible to allow the activity to be practiced again after correcting the conditions of the facility and its fulfillment of all the requirements necessary to practice the activity, and remove the causes of the violation.

The authority pointed out that the closure and the detection of the allocated abuses comes within the framework of the inspection efforts aimed at strengthening the food safety system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and affirming the supervisory role to ensure the commitment of all facilities to the requirements of food safety, explaining that all facilities of different nature and food products are subject to periodic inspection by the authority’s inspectors to ensure their adherence to the requirements of food safety.

The authority appealed to the public to communicate with it, and to report any violations that are monitored in any food facility or when doubting the contents of the food by calling the free number of the Abu Dhabi government 800555 until the authority’s inspectors take the necessary action to a safe and sound food for all members of society in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
