Muhammad Al -Kamali is the first Arab and Asian to chair the disciplinary committee in “FIFA”

Dubai, May 16/ WAM/ Counselor Mohamed Al -Kamali took over the chairmanship of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, to become the first Emirati, Arab and Asian to hold this high judicial position in the largest international football body.
The Disciplinary Committee is one of the basic judicial bodies in “FIFA”, and it is concerned with looking at the violations of the players and clubs, cases of tampering with results, and non -athletic behavior, as well as issues of racism, doping abuse and violations of players’ transitions.
The disciplinary tasks have existed in the International Federation since its inception, but the committee in its independent form was officially established in 2001, with the issuance of the first version of the disciplinary code, which later witnessed several updates to keep pace with the developments of the game.
A number of international figures, including the Swiss Marcel Matti and Claudio Solsar, the Ghani Anin Yiphi, and the Colombian Jorge Palacio.
The choice of the Kemal adviser comes in appreciation of his legal career and experiences in the sporting judicial field, and this appointment reflects the growing presence of the UAE on the international sports scene, and the role of Arab cadres in global decision institutions.
The Chairman and its members are elected by the FIFA General Assembly for a period of four years, and they work completely independently to ensure neutrality and justice.
The new formation of the Committee includes 18 members from various continents, including the Colombian Jorge Palacio as Vice President, the Arab Bandar Al -Hamidani from Saudi Arabia, and Moez Al -Nasiri from Tunisia.
