I did not consult Israel before recognizing the new Syrian government

US President Donald Trump said that his ally, Israel, did not consult in the United States’ decision to recognize the new Syrian government despite Israel’s strong doubts about the administration of President Ahmed al -Shara.

“I did not consult them in that, I thought it was the right decision, and I had a lot of praise for it, we want to succeed in Syria.”

Trump said on Tuesday that he would order the lifting of sanctions on Syria, in a major shift in his policy before meeting with Al -Shara.

On Gaza, the US President expressed his support for providing aid to the Palestinians, saying that Gaza residents are starving.

He added that he expects “a lot of good things” next month.

When asked if he supports Israeli plans to extend the war in Gaza, Trump told reporters, “I think a lot of good things will happen next month, and we will see. We also have to help the Palestinians. As you know, many people in Gaza are starving, so we have to look at both sides.”
