Trump’s visit is a strategic partnership in facing regional and international challenges

A study issued by the Trends Center for Research and Consulting confirmed that the historical visit of US President Donald Trump to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, from May 13 to 16, 2025, represented a strategic shift in Gulf-American relations, and gave a strong boost to the partnership between the United States and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the face of escalating regional and international challenges.

The study, prepared by the Research Administration at the Center, under the title “An Analytical Reading in the Contents and results of the Gulf President Trump’s visit”, analyzed the economic, political and strategic contents of the visit, noting that the visit included in-depth discussions on vital files for both parties, including strengthening the Gulf-American economic partnership, coordination of energy policies, the future of American-Iranian nuclear negotiations, and signing Huge defensive deals, in addition to discussing urgent regional issues such as the Gaza war, the Syrian file, the Abrahamic agreements, and the repercussions of the Ukraine war on the region.

The study shed light on the huge economic deals announced during the visit, confirming that they reflect the depth of Gulf-American economic ties, and the ambitious development aspirations of Gulf countries in the technology, artificial intelligence and renewable energy.

The study concluded that Trump’s visit represents a historical opportunity to strengthen the Gulf-American strategic alliance, develop the technological capabilities of Gulf countries, and to face common global challenges, including security, economic and technological challenges. The study emphasized that the Gulf-American partnership represents an essential pillar of regional and international stability, and contributes to achieving sustainable development and prosperity in the region and the world.
