114 billion riyals .. The increase in the contribution of the agricultural sector to the gross product

The Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Mansour Al -Mushaiti, confirmed that a success in reaching (93%) of its indicators achieved its annual targets, including a contribution to the gross domestic product by more than (6%) during the past eight years, to reach by the end of 2024 AD to (114) billion riyals.
This came during a speech in (Hail Investment Forum 2025), which was held today in the city of Hail, in the presence and patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad Al Saud, Governor of the Hail region, and a number of officials, investors, and economic experts; To review and discuss specific investment opportunities in the Hail region.
The engineer explained that the Hail region, with its elements and natural resources; It is a unique incubator for investment, especially in the agricultural field.
He pointed out that continuous government support was reflected positively on sustainable agricultural development in the region; Where the total financing of the Agricultural Development Fund in the Hail region exceeded (7) billion riyals, which contributed to the high rate of its contribution to the Kingdom’s gross domestic product to the Kingdom to more than (10%).

Production of clotted salmon

The deputy minister indicated that the Hail region witnessed the inauguration of the first and largest project of its kind in the Middle East to produce cloned salmon, which will contribute to reducing the Kingdom’s imports of these fish by (50%), in addition to achieving total sales of more than (5) billion riyals, during the next ten years.
He revealed the signing of the largest investment for the production of red meat in one location, in Hail, in order to enhance the self -sufficiency of red meat in the Kingdom, which reached (61%) by the end of 2024 AD, noting that the Hail region today embraces one of the largest poultry production projects, with its production capacity exceeding (130) thousand tons annually, and the project recently witnessed an expansion of more than (4.5) billion riyals. And total exceeding (11) billion riyals; To become the largest project in poultry production locally and regional.
In addition, Eng. Al -Mushaiti pointed out that the sustainable agricultural rural development program “Saudi countryside” contributed to the development of the local economy, increased the income of small farmers, and improving their livelihood; Where the program provided about 800 million riyals to small farmers in the Hail region.

Agricultural production growth

Al -Mushaiti added that the program started implementing (3) projects in the region with a value exceeding (40) million riyals; Which will contribute to the growth of agricultural production in the region and the development of marketing services for agricultural products.
He noted the importance of developing infrastructure to enhance investment; Where the foundation stone was recently laid to implement (14) water and environmental projects in the Hail region, at a total cost exceeding (1.2) billion riyals, and the foundation stone was also laid for (7) projects to develop vegetation, with a value exceeding (116) million riyals, within the framework of the Saudi Green Initiative efforts, to develop vegetation and support the afforestation.
He pointed to the most promising investment opportunities currently in the Hail region, including, “Burj Al -Jawhara”, which will contribute to promoting water and operational sustainability, as it provides a storage of about (13) thousand m3 of water, in addition to the investment of the tower facilities and the surrounding area.
He explained that the ministry is currently working on launching more than (40) investment sites in Hail, among them, Al -Shannan Park and Al -Naya Park, in addition to agricultural nurseries and marketing services centers.
