Two helicopters collision in Finland
The Finnish authorities announced on Sunday that an urgent investigation into a collision and the crash of two civilian helicopters occurred on Saturday in the southwest of the country, killing 5 people.
According to the Finnish Broadcasting Corporation, the two helicopters were equipped with recording devices, and investigators are analyzing its data to determine the circumstances of the accident.
Teina Bieber, Director of Communications at the Finnish Investigation Council, explained that the two planes took off from the Estonian capital, Tallin, heading to Picagarvy Airport in the Finnish city of Kokimaki.
The Inspector General of the National Investigation Office, Oli Turas, also indicated that a third helicopter was flying at a distance from the crash site and was not harmed.
The collision of a Mexican ship with a bridge
In New York, a Mexican Navy Training ship called “Kawotimok” collided with the famous Brooklyn Bridge, killing two people and wounding 19 others, including 3 in critical condition.
The accident occurred on Saturday evening, while the ship was leaving its berth in southern Manhattan, in the presence of a large crowd depositing it.
According to the local authorities, the ship lost the power force while the captain’s maneuvering attempt, which led to its collision with the bridge, and its three maids were destroyed and its fall in the East River.
The injured were transferred to hospitals, while the Mexican Navy confirmed its commitment to investigating the accident and ensuring the safety of its crews.
Fallers paralyzing Paris-Orley Airport
In France, a sudden technical failure in the Air Monitoring Tower at Paris-Orley Airport has canceled about 130 flights on Sunday, or about 40% of the total setting flights.
The General Directorate of Civil Aviation stated that the holidays occurred in radar systems on Sunday noon, which necessitated the imposition of strict restrictions on air navigation and a significant reduction in the number of flights until midnight.
It is not yet clear whether these disorders will continue until Monday.
