Collaborate "Emirates Aluminum" and"Pace" To develop the carbon poles manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, May 19 / WAM / The Emirates International Aluminum Company, and the Chinese Company, signed the largest independent producer of ready -made poles in the world, today, an agreement on the sidelines of the “Made in the Emirates 2025” forum with the aim of developing a carbon poles manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi.

The agreement was signed by Abdel Nasser Bin Kalban, CEO of Emirates International Aluminum Company, and Languj Gangho, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Systeston Company.

The UAE International Aluminum produces about 1.35 million tons of carbon poles used in aluminum melting annually in its factories in Jabal Ali and Al -Tila and imports the rest of its requirements now.

The new poles manufacturing facility is scheduled to be built in the Khalifa Economic Zone in Abu Dhabi with a production capacity of 300 thousand tons of electrodes annually, to replace most of the imports of the Emirates International Aluminum Company, and it is expected that this facility will contribute to establishing the position of the UAE as the second largest exporter of carbon poles in the world after China.

The Emirates International Aluminum Company and the “Syson” company completed the feasibility study of the joint project, in which the Singon’s share will reach 55%, while the Emirates International Aluminum share is 45%, and it is expected that the construction of the new facility will start during the year 2026, with the start of production in early 2028.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office plays an important role in enabling the Sunston Company to enter the Abu Dhabi Market and in its endeavor to attract and empower high -value investments in Abu Dhabi, including Singon’s benefit from several major initiatives within the industrial strategy of Abu Dhabi, including energy support programs and lands implemented by the office.

Abdel Nasser bin Kalban, CEO of Emirates International Aluminum Company, said that the project will contribute to enabling the company to enhance its contribution to the “Make in the Emirates” initiative, by localizing one of the basic raw materials for our local operations, in addition to the possibility of exporting it to other aluminum mosque in the region and abroad, explaining that the company spends more than 8 billion dirhams annually on goods and services in the country, which represents about 40% of The total global spending, stressing their endeavor to gradually increase this percentage in support of the growth of the industrial sector in the Emirates.

For his part, Muhammad Al -Kamali, CEO of Trade and Industry at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, said that the development of the new Singon project in Abu Dhabi, which represents the first expansion of the company outside China, reflects the strength of the industrial system and the ability of the emirate to attract global pioneers in the main supply chains, stressing the work to enable new partnerships in the state and develop local capabilities and advance innovation and enhance Abu Dhabi’s position as a global center for excellence Industrial.

For his part, Lang Guangho, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Systeston Company, stressed that the “Maken in the Emirates” initiative and the support provided by the partners in the Abu Dhabi government, contributed to creating an ideal environment for industrial growth, and the establishment of the first factory for Singon outside China in partnership with the UAE International Aluminum is a great achievement within their global expansion plans, expected to pay this cooperation standards of excellence in the carbon polar industry sector.
