“The International Federation for the Preservation of Nature” officially adopts the nomination of Razan Al -Mubarak as his president for a second period

Abu Dhabi, May 20/ WAM/ The International Federation for Conservation of Nature officially approved the nomination of His Excellency Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak, his president for a second period by his members, during his thirteenth meeting in the city of Gland, Switzerland after the approval of the election officials.
The nomination of “Razan Al -Mubarak” came by the members of the International Federation for the Preservation of Nature, provided that the elections will take place during the work of the World Conference to preserve the nature hosted by Abu Dhabi from October 9 to 15.
It is worth noting that His Excellency Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak was the president of the International Federation for Nature Preservation in 2021, becoming the second woman to lead the union throughout its 75 -year -old history and his first president from West Asia.
During its first term, she worked with the members of the Federation and its Council and its general secretariat to define the strategic vision of the Federation for twenty years, in addition to participating in preparing the work program for the period 2026-2029, which includes initiatives aimed at harmonizing the priorities of preservation with global environmental, social and economic goals.
In the event that it is elected for a second term, the blessed happiness will focus on converting this vision into tangible and measurable results by enhancing the support of members and ensuring that the issue of biological diversity and nature -based solutions remain a major axis in the process of decision -making at the global level.
In this context, His Excellency Razan Al -Mubarak said: “I am honored to head the International Federation for the Preservation of Nature, especially at a time when the loss of biological diversity is increasingly accelerating, as the union plays a pivotal role in combining science, policies and individuals to protect nature,” stressing its full commitment to supporting the Federation to continue its leadership with independence, credibility, transparency and effectiveness.
In addition to the presidency of the International Federation for the Conservation of Nature, Razan Al -Mubarak is the managing director of the Mohammed bin Zayed Fund to preserve living organisms, Managing Director of the Environment Authority – Abu Dhabi and the Emirates Association for Nature of the World Fund for Nature.
Throughout her career, Razan has committed to a pivotal role at the international and national levels in promoting ground -based solutions and enhancing cooperation between sectors in the field of environmental preservation.
The International Federation for the Preservation of Nature is the largest and oldest global environmental network in the world, as it includes more than 1,400 members and more than 16,000 experts who have a large scale of its scientific reference, a great impact in international policy -making, and a pivotal role in shaping protection priorities and enhancing nature -based solutions in the world.
