The opening of the Center of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak for Arabic Language Teaching at the Japan University of Kayu

On a generous initiative from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation and in the framework of its pioneering role in the field of spreading knowledge and development of Arab culture, the Center for Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak to teach Arabic at Kayou University in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, was opened.

The opening was attended by Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, Coha Eto’o, President of Kayu University and Marwan Al -Naqbi, Vice President of the UAE Mission in Japan, Dr. Mohammed bin Huwaiden, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University, along with a number of ambassadors, university deputies, academic staff and university students interested in studying the Arabic language.

The center aims to provide integrated educational programs for the Arabic language, encourage Arab cultural and literary studies, and expand the scope of scientific research in Arab studies, which enhances mutual understanding between the Arab world and Japan.

Earlier, the United Arab Emirates University signed a memorandum of understanding with Kayou University to support the center’s activities and educational programs, with the aim of ensuring the sustainability of the development of the Arabic language in Japan and enhancing its academic presence.

It is noteworthy that the University of Kieo is one of the most prestigious universities in Japan, where it was established in 1858, and offers a variety of academic specializations, as well as focusing on scientific research and developing practical skills for students.
