Emirati child “Hajar” .. a model for the power of will

“Hajar” is a little girl who faced the harshest tests, after discovering that she had a brain tumor, and she was able in her skinny body to endure what adults were unable to.

When you look at “Hajar”, the 14 -year -old Emirati girl, and contemplates her ability to smile, amid the pain she feels, it does not occur to you that she was two years ago struggling with a dangerous disease that settled in her head.

Hajar underwent an operation in a state hospital, during which the doctors succeeded in removing part of the tumor, but the largest part remained. In a race against time, she traveled to South Korea, where she underwent accurate surgery to eradicate the rest of the tumor, followed by a long stage of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

“In a moment I felt that the earth was withdrawn from under my feet … I did not believe that my child would go through this experience, but our faith in God was stronger than every fear, and today we see her smiling again.”

As for her mother, she says: “Every moment, pain she lived (Hajar), she lived with her twice, I was only dreaming that I saw her getting up from the hospital bed, walking on her feet again, and laughing as it was, and here she is stronger than before.”

After two years of treatment, Hajar stood victorious, as she successfully ended the treatment stage, and she is currently in the rehabilitation period, her childhood is slowly regaining and discovering life again.

The story of “Hajar” is not only a story of illness and healing, it has studied patience for affliction, in the family’s strength, and a real proof that hope is stronger than fear, no matter how severe storms of experience intensify.

“Hajar” .. an indescribable will, fought a fierce battle against a tumor in the brain, and today it writes a new chapter of healing, hope, and life.
