The UAE Books for Recreen Books launches the Creative Writing Competition 2025

Sharjah, May 27/ WAM/ The UAE Book of Advisors launched the new session of the “Creative Writing Competition” for the year 2025, which aims to enhance the literary imagination of children and adolescents in the UAE from 6 to 18 years old and refine their creative skills by encouraging them to compose stories in the Arabic language.

Participants are received until July 31, 2025, with the participants to be divided into three age groups: the first category from 6 to 9 years, the second category from 10 to 12 years and the third category from 13 to 18 years.

This annual competition comes within the “Read, Dreaming, Inquiring” campaign launched by the Council in 2013 with the aim of strengthening the relationship between children and books, encouraging reading and literary creativity in Emirati society and giving young creators the opportunity to develop their capabilities and enter the field of literature and publishing.

Marwa Al -Aqroubi, President of the UAE Council for Advisors, stressed that the creative writing competition represents a unique opportunity for children and adolescents to develop their literary imagination and enhance their skills in expression and writing in the Arabic language, as part of the council’s efforts to build a passionate generation of reading and writing capable of expressing his ideas in innovative ways, noting that creative writing is not just a linguistic skill but rather a tool for developing critical thinking and promoting self -confidence as well.

She explained that the competition is not limited to merely discovering talents, but also seeks to refine them and develop them by providing a platform for children and adolescents to display their literary creations in the interest of the UAE Council to write adolescents on the support of young creators, stressing that some of the participants in the previous copies of the competition were able to transform their passion for writing into real literary projects, which indicates the positive impact of the competition.

She noted that the “Read, Dreaming, invented” campaign aims to enhance the position of the book in the lives of children and adolescents and inspire them for new experiences in the world of literature, noting that the development of the habit of writing in children enhances the love of reading.

She invited all children and adolescents in the United Arab Emirates to participate in the competition and benefit from this opportunity to unleash their imagination and literary skills.

Since its launch, the competition has succeeded in motivating hundreds of children and adolescents to develop their written and linguistic skills and encourage them to continue reading and literary creativity and contributed to paving the way for some young creators to enter the publishing world and convert their texts into printed publications.
