Dubai International is the first in the Air Link Index for Asia, “Quiet” and the Middle East

Dubai International Airport maintained its first position in the Air Linking Index for the Asia region, the Pacific and the Middle East, according to the report announced by the Global Airports Council.
The council said that despite the increasing competition, Dubai maintained its position as a leading airport in the index, which measures the ability of passengers to reach the global air transport network through direct or indirect trips taking into account the quality of the service for each air link, such as choosing the destination, repeating the service, transferring flights, and traveling in general.
By the end of last year, Dubai International Airport was conducting flights to 272 destinations in 107 countries served by 106 international airlines, and continues to establish new standards as one of the most prominent airports in the world.
Dubai International Airport established a new standard in the global aviation sector after receiving 92.3 million passengers in 2024, which is the highest annual traffic movement ever in the history of the airport.
This achievement exceeds the previous record of 89.1 million passengers that was achieved in 2018, and coincides with another historical achievement represented by the airport’s top of the International Airport Board of Airport list for the most international works of international airports for 10 years.
The report revealed a growth of more than 14% in the Air Flap Index for the Asia Pacific and the Middle East during 2024 compared to 2023, driven by strong international demand and strong recovery of networks.
While the Asia Pacific region witnessed a 13% noticeable leap in the total communication compared to 2023, the Middle East recorded a remarkable increase by 28%, exceeding all the recovery expectations after the Kofid’s pandemic.
The Council said: The movement of travelers in the Middle East recovered faster than the Asia Pacific region, recording a strong traffic movement in 2024 compared to 2019, as the movement of passengers to Africa, Asia and the Pacific region exceeded the levels of pre -boundaries. The movement of travelers to the Americas is still less than the levels of 2019
