Activating the second stage of the system of medical procedures approved for pilgrims

The UAE Pilgrim Affairs Office confirmed the activation of the second stage of the system of approved medical procedures to deal with the pilgrims of the state, during their period in the Holy Land to perform the rituals of Hajj.

The office pointed out that the first stage of the approved medical procedures was implemented inside the Emirates, and included communication with the campaigns doctors to prepare lists that include a comprehensive description and classification of the cases included in each campaign, and to raise lists of chronic diseases, aging diseases, pregnant women, in addition to the owners of determination and senior citizens.

He explained that the system obligated the campaign doctors to hold awareness and educational workshops for pilgrims, document cases with updated medical reports according to the medical condition, and to ensure the adequacy and quality of medicines, and from patients obtaining appropriate medical vaccinations.

The office affirmed that the second stage begins with the follow -up of the medical committee in the office for the medical cases listed in each campaign, in communicating with the campaigns doctors and verifying the efficiency of the procedures followed, before starting to perform the rituals of Hajj.

He explained that with the start of the move towards the rituals in Mina, Arafa and Muzdalifah, the medical committee is working to coordinate with the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to take advantage of the facilities and services provided by the Saudi authorities.

And on the details of the third stage of the medical system that begins as soon as you move towards the holy sites, he stated that they include providing specialized clinics for women, and another for men in Mina, in addition to moving the mobile medical teams between campaigns and tents, and activating the hot lines to communicate with pilgrims and campaigns to respond to urgent medical inquiries, in addition to the supervisory role represented in the field medical inspection teams concerned with verifying the activation and application of standards Medical in each campaign.
