Sharjah Electricity implements projects to develop the network in 15 locations in the middle

Sharjah, on the first of June / WAM / The Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Sharjah, implemented a number of development projects and achieved qualitative achievements in the field of developing the electricity network in the central region. The high -voltage and low networks included in more than 15 sites in the areas of Al Dhaid, Maliha, Al -Madame, and Al -Battal, as part of the efforts of the authority continuing to develop infrastructure and raise the efficiency of services provided to citizens and residents.

Engineer Khalifa Mohamed Al Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, explained that the electricity network development projects are continuing in the central region and that the work that was implemented during the past months included the implementation of the extensions of electric cables with a total length of 81.7 km within the framework of the infrastructure update plan and the replacement of large parts of the network with higher efficiency cables and greater capacity, which contributes to reducing energy losses, increasing efficiency And network stability.

He said that the electrical current was connected to more than 45 projects in residential, agricultural, industrial, and governmental areas, as part of the authority’s efforts to meet the increasing demand for electric energy, especially in areas that witness rapid urban and economic growth.

He added that the authority began installing new sub -stations in multiple locations, and also developed a comprehensive plan to cancel the air lines in the region and replace them with ground cables.

He explained that among the most prominent government projects that were connected to the electricity during the last period is the dairy farm, Sharjah embassies, the Friday market, the wheat farm, the Jubail market, the Al -Dhaid University, the Al -Saqarin Club, the fungal life museum, the Al Dhaid Mosque, the Awakening School, the Nizwa School, and a number of other projects.

He stressed that the authority is keen to adhere to the continuous development of its services in accordance with the highest technical standards, in line with the directions of the Emirate of Sharjah in supporting infrastructure and achieving sustainable development, and providing reliable and safe electricity services.
